Class Descriptions

Candlelight Yoga - Step into a candlelit room and let go of the stress of the day.
A gentle Kripalu Yoga class to help you unwind from your week and to start your weekend.
A series of relaxing poses practiced in candlelight. All levels welcome.

Yoga for Athletes - This class is designed to improve your athletic success by increasing strength, flexibility, endurance and balance. It will also help you  gain the mental edge by creating a stronger mind-body connection to decrease stress and increase focus, especially before and during competition. You will learn poses specific to your sport to prevent injuries, recover faster, and promote longevity as an athlete. No experience needed.

All Levels Yoga - In this class you will learn to focus on your unique mind body and spirit needs and wants through the practice of asanas(postures), pranayama(breathing practices) and meditation. Yoga class will help you to cleanse, strengthen and stabilize the physical body. Balance internal energies. Promote flexibility and fluidity. Quiet the mind and open the heart.

Prenatal Yoga -, this class incorporates a traditional series of beginner and intermediate asanas (yoga poses), tailored to the specific needs of expectant mothers and taught by a certified childbirth educator. The mission of our prenatal yoga classes is to help you find the balance between preparing for the profound experience of birth, while also caring for yourself in the present moment. We focus on poses that help to ease the discomforts of pregnancy, and to prepare both body and mind for the labor and birth process. This class is appropriate for women of all fitness and experience levels, at all stages of pregnancy. No prior yoga experience is necessary.

Sign Say and Play Class: For parents and babies ages 6 months – 36 months.
Six week series:
Class One:  Mealtime signs: eat, drink, more, milk, cereal, bib, all done
Class Two: Bedtime signs: love, stars, light, sleep, moon, book
Class Three: Bath time signs: bubbles, bath, frog, water, duck, toothbrush
Class Four: Getting Dressed signs: hat, comb, socks, shoes, coat, diaper
Class Five: My Pets signs:  bunny, bird, cat, dog, fish, turtle
Class Six:  At the Park signs: butterfly, ball, slide, flower, swing, tree

Rumble Tumble Tummy Time:  A four week session for parents and babies ages 2 – 6 months.  Pediatricians are encouraging parents to put their babies on their tummies for short periods of time several times a day to improve brain development and motor coordination.  Babies sometimes do not like to be on their tummy and may cry and fuss.  These classes make tummy time enjoyable for you and your baby. 

Parent Workshop: A one time class especially designed for parents of children from birth to 24 months.  You will learn all you need to know to begin signing with your baby at home.  This is a hands on class and includes the Baby Starter Kit to help you incorporate what you learn in class into your daily routine.

 

Additional Information

A minimum of two students is required to hold class. You can check our Facebook Fan Page for class cancellations.

Cancellations: Minimum 4 (four) hours prior notice must be given by calling 603-434-3456. Just the same, if we need to cancel a class on short notice we will give everyone at least 4 hours notice unless it happens to be an emergency.
