Hot stone massage is a form of hydrotherapy.  Basalt stones are heated in water and once they have reached the right temperature, they are used to warm and relax tension areas.  The stones are placed on the back along either side of the spine while the therapist massages the muscles of the legs and arms with more heated stones.

The heat from the stones conducts deeply into the muscles allowing for the profound elaxation and release of toxins.

Benefits of Hot Stone Massage may include:

  • promotes deep muscle and tissue relaxation
  • alleviates stress
  • releases toxins
  • relieves pain
  • improves circulation
  • calms the psyche
The above list of benefits may be attained with integratived massage therapy as well.  However, adding hot stones to the therapy intensifies each level of the experience.  If you have trouble relaxing during a typical massage or just seek a deeper level of healing- this modality is the one for you!
Shalon treats clients on Monday and Tuesdays 1-8PM, Fridays 11:30AM-7PM and every other Saturday 11AM-5PM.

Testimonials

“ I have been to several chiropractors over the years. Dr. Jess is wonderful. She takes the time to explain everything to you (the patient). I now have my children coming to Dr. Jess as well. It is beneficial to the entire family. I would highly recommend Healing Hands Chiropractic whether you are new to chiropractic or have been and are looking for someone new in the area.”
